PERCENTAGE OF TIME ACCOUNTABILITIES
| 80% | Preparing Discovery/Evidence For Defense Attorneys which includes but is not limited to: emailing Agencies and requesting discovery from all seven (7) Prosecutors requests; making sure all discovery has been received by Law Enforcement Agencies on all cases filed to include out of area agencies; Labeling and entering discovery into digital files when received by those Law Enforcement Agencies; preparing disks, flash drives or adding the discovery to the drive so that the defense attorneys can access said discovery on all cases filed; scanning invoices into the digital files for the media evidence that was picked up by the defense attorney; preparing statements and invoices and keeping track of those invoices to receive payments for the media evidence from the defense attorneys. |
| 10% | Additional Information received which includes but is not limited to: sending emails for any additional discovery that has been received on a case since it was filed to ensure we have everything we need to go forward with our preliminary hearings, bench trials, pretrial conferences or Jury Trials; then entering that additional discovery into digital file and preparing that new information for dissemination to the defense attorneys before the upcoming court date; redacting medical records and other documents that have sensitive or personal information before sending to defense attorneys; scanning KDR into the master file for transmission to KBI; preparing involuntary commitment petitions, to include keeping track of hearings, preparing related documents and securing appropriate signatures before filing them with the court via E-filing. |
| 10% | Other Miscellaneous duties all associated with discovery/evidence dissemination which includes but is not limited to: Making Deposits and Reports monthly for money received for County Clerk; keeping track of all discovery disks for use in court or once case is completed and or the appeal is completed, that can be destroyed.Fill in at front reception area while receptionist is at lunch which includes but is not limited to: answering the main phone line, helping people at the front counter and taking the mail to the Clerk’s office.Other duties as assigned. |
This position assists in making sure all discovery/evidence is received from various law enforcement agencies on all filed cases and then disseminated to the defense attorneys.

ILLUSTRATIVE TASKS (This is not an inclusive list, other tasks/duties may be assigned.)
1. Assist staff with case collecting discovery from all law enforcement for dissemination to Defense Attorneys.
2. Prepare legal documentation on cases to include, Petitions, invoices and transport orders
3. Provide documentation for defense attorney’s signatures.
4. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Work is performed in a modern, smoke-free, office setting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Three years of work experience in an office setting.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Direct experience working with the law or in a law office.

6. Sitting 80% of the time – when completing administrative, personal computer, and telephone work assignments.
7. Lifting/Carrying 25 pounds – lifting files, office supplies, and reports.
8. Pushing/Pulling 30 pounds – moving files, boxes, office supplies, and reports; and when opening and closing file cabinet drawers and doors.
9. Climbing/Balancing Required when negotiating stairs, or retrieving files or supplies from overhead or from the floor.
