Bridge A-60 is now open!
The bridge is located on 215th Street, 0.3-mile north of Ida Street, approximately 3 miles southeast of Springdale, Kansas. The bridge serves local residents north of the 215th Street/Ida Street intersection. The project improvements consisted of replacing the existing 18’ wide x 24’ long Timber Deck bridge structure built in 1964, with a 50’ Steel Beam Span Bridge. The width of the Concrete bridge deck is 24’-6”.
The new bridge is located approximately 60 feet east of the old timber deck structure and allowed for 540 feet of geometric improvements to the existing roadway alignment. Reece Construction constructed the bridge improvements for the County. The new roadway section was constructed by internal Public Works Maintenance staff and allowed a portion of the roadway skew to be removed to provide a straighter segment crossing the Stranger Creek tributary stream.
The project was funded through the General County Bridge Improvement0 Fund. The project removed a Functionally Obsolete rated bridge structure from the County’s KDOT Bridge Inspection list and provided a new bridge structure that meets current HL-93 loading standards

7:30 a.m., 231st between 30776 an d 30015 231st will be closed for a culvert replacement. The closure will take 2 days weather permitting.

A-49 Bridge
Public Works announces the closure of 211th Street to Through-Traffic from Dempsey Road to McIntyre Road beginning 6/21/24 and continuing until 11/1/24. Road Closure is required to perform construction of the A-49 Bridge Replacement project located on 211th Street, 0.2-mile north of the Dempsey Road. A detour route will not be published for the project.

T-34 Bridge
Public Works announces the closure of 219th Street to Through-Traffic from Kissinger Road to Green Road beginning 6/21/24 and continuing until 11/1/24. Road Closure is to perform construction of the T-34 Bridge Replacement project located on 219th Street, 0.3-mile south of Kissinger Road. A detour route will not be published for the project.
April 17, 2024 to August 31, 2024
*ST-59 and ST-60 Culvert Road Closed Notice*
206th Street will be closed to through traffic from Hemphill Road to Douglas Road starting 04.10.2024 through 08.31.2024 for large culvert improvements. Culvert ST-59 is located on 206th Street North of Hemphill Road and culvert ST-60 is located on 206th Street, South of Douglas Road. We apologize for the inconvenience
