Leavenworth County is funded by two major sources: taxes and user fees. User Fees are generated by billing insurance companies or the Patient for the services rendered. By using this method the tax levy needed to support the operations of the EMS Department remain low.

Leavenworth County EMS retains the billing in house by employing billing specialists to handle this function.

Charges
Depending on the level of care needed and rendered, charges will range from $475.00 to $810.00 plus $16.50 per loaded transporting mile.

• No one is refused service because of the ability to pay.
• Payment is not accepted at time of service.
