LEAVENWORTH DISTRICT COURT RECORDS
(913) 684-0716
The Clerk of the District Court, by statute, is the official custodian of the court records and is authorized to charge for researching as well as photocopying court records.
If you wish to obtain a copy of a record by mail, you may contact the District Court Clerk's office in writing or by e-mail. In your request, please be sure to include the case numbers or book and page location of the documents that you wish to have copied. The records clerk will prepare an estimate of the cost of the records that you are wanting to obtain and provide you with that information, in writing or by e-mail.
The cost for photocopies is $.25 per page. Certification of copies is $1.00 for each document that you wish to have certified. If the Clerk determines that a request will require extensive time and effort, a fee of $20.00 per hour will be charged for research and copying.
Once you have obtained the estimate for the copies that you desire, please mail the appropriate cost as estimated by the clerk's office and a self-addressed, stamped envelope so that the requested copies can be returned to you.
Please consult the Request Court Records page on the Kansas Judicial Branch Web site for additional information.
