Law Library

The Leavenworth County Law Library is located on the fourth floor of the Leavenworth Justice Center, 601 S. 3rd Street, Leavenworth, Kansas 66048.  Unless otherwise announced, the library is open to the public for legal research purposes from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding state-observed holidays.

All law library publications and electronic resources are available to the public free of charge.  Publications (for use only within the library) include published decisions of state and federal appellate courts, state and federal statutes and administrative regulations, legal treatises, dictionaries and other reference materials, and books on a variety of legal topics.  Patrons may also use and print from the library's Fastcase online research database.

The fourth-floor lobby entrance to the law library is accessible only to persons with authorized library access fobs.  Before entering the library, patrons must first report to the District Court Clerk's office, located on the third floor of the Leavenworth Justice Center, to check out a library access fob.

When checking out a library access fob, patrons will be required to sign a register and to temporarily surrender their driver's license or other state-issued identification to the Clerk's office as security for return of the library access fob.
